Foundation for Developmental Disabilities

Individuals living with a developmental disability like cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism or intellectual disabilities, face many challenges in the course of learning, working, and living in the community. The Foundation for Developmental Disabilities, serving the San Diego and Imperial counties, is a resource for those individuals and their families.

Peterson Scholarship Program Application period is open to Receive Applications Monday March 12, 2018 through Friday April 13, 2018

The 2018 Raymond M. Peterson Scholarship Program is now open and accepting applications. You may learn more about the program by going to and clicking on the PROGRAMS tab. You can download an application by clicking on the Scholarship link on the Programs page.

Each year The Foundation for Developmental Disabilities (FDD) provides funding through the Raymond M. Peterson Scholarship Program, a resource for the leaders of tomorrow. Funds are to be awarded to those who reside in San Diego or Imperial Counties planning a career or presently working in the field of developmental disabilities. Awards are paid directly to the school's student financial aid or scholarship coordinator's department by student ID.

Generally, recipients receive funding ranging from $500.00 to $3,000.00. Applications are due no later than Noon, Friday April 13, 2018. Interviews will be conducted in early May and applicant notifcations will take place in the last week of May 2018.
